While it downloads

From download to your first notification

  1. 01

    Linux

    Make the AppImage executable and run it:
    chmod +x "Holler Bell_1.0.32_amd64.AppImage" && ./"Holler Bell_1.0.32_amd64.AppImage"
    If it doesn't start, make sure FUSE (fuse3) is installed, or run it with --appimage-extract-and-run.
  2. 02

    Start an agent

    In Holler Bell, open New, pick Claude Code, Codex CLI or Shell, choose a folder and start it. You'll need Claude Code or Codex CLI installed and on your PATH; a shell works right away.
  3. 03

    Go do something else

    When an agent finishes its turn and waits for you, you get a notification.

Good to know

  • Group it your way. Every session sits in one window, in your own order or grouped by folder. Every state is named, not just coloured, and the one waiting on you pulses.
  • Restarts are fine. After a restart, Holler Bell offers your sessions back so you can resume them all or one by one.
  • It stays on your machine. No account, no cloud relay. The only thing that reaches us is the update check. What phones home
